SMART BUILDING
I designed and implemented a custom smart infrastructure system for YouthBuild Lake County’s new facility, starting at the hardware level and scaling through full-building deployment. This included building and configuring Raspberry Pi–based systems, designing custom room-specific dashboards, and integrating them into day-to-day office operations.
The system now supports smart wellness rooms with adaptive lighting and environmental controls, centralized TV displays throughout the building, and automated content and status management across shared spaces. Every component was designed to be reliable and maintainable, ensuring the technology enhances the environment, supports staff and participants, and scales alongside the organization’s growth.

LEGO DONOR GIFT
I designed a custom LEGO® model of YouthBuild Lake County’s new Career Training & Workforce Hub as a VIP donor gift concept tied to the Capital Campaign. The goal was to create something memorable, tactile, and personal that reflected the idea of building the future brick by brick, while remaining practical and scalable.
The project includes the model, instructions, custom stickers, and packaging. The initial production cost came out to $4.33 per unit for the full build, making it an extremely affordable donor gift with high emotional value. The design was also modular, allowing the model to expand to reflect the second phase of the building once the addition begins.
While the project is currently paused due to tariff-related increases in LEGO® brick pricing, the concept remains a strong example of creative, mission-aligned innovation.

I built a custom task and calendar workflow using Microsoft Power Automate that runs automatically every Monday morning. The flow reviews my calendar and task list, then sends me a structured message outlining priorities, upcoming deadlines, and time-sensitive items for the week ahead.
The system also checks tasks on their due dates and sends same-day reminders to keep work on track without constant manual review. This functions as a lightweight digital personal assistant, reducing cognitive load and helping me stay focused, organized, and accountable across complex, deadline-driven projects.

FUNDRAISING GAME
I’m developing a match-3 mobile game designed specifically to support YouthBuild Lake County’s Capital Campaign. The goal is to create an accessible, repeatable way for supporters to engage with the campaign while generating ongoing fundraising through digital gameplay tied to the campaign narrative and outcomes.
The project includes game concepting, UI/UX design, progression and reward systems, asset planning, and fundraising integrations connected to the Capital Campaign. While still in development, the game represents a major investment of time and testing, and demonstrates my ability to expand traditional fundraising into interactive digital experiences built to scale beyond a single event or mailer.
